I had my first eyelash extensions applied by a newly trained technician (not Xtreme Lashes). I paid R500 for the procedure and I have never been so disappointed. The procedure was uncomfortable and my eyes were really burning from the glue when it was over. The technician had glued up to 4 of my eyelashes to one extension and then glued the extensions to each other. I experienced pain as my natural lashes tried to grow but were pinching as they were glued to neighbouring lashes. Not only was this incorrect technique but extremely damaging to my own lashes. Additionally the extensions were glued on skew so they did not curve up towards my eyebrows. One lash curved down into my eye and I was forced to pull it out. My lashes looked really bad and I was constantly aware of them as they were heavy and prickly to the touch. When I returned to the salon I was told I could remove the lashes myself with eye make-up remover as that is what they use. They did not have a debonding agent which I found very unprofessional. After failed attempts to remove the lashes myself I was forced to go to another salon to remove them with a proper debonding agent.



After my bad experience I was afraid to have extensions applied again. I contacted Xtreme lashes and was assured that I would get the service I was looking for. I then made an appointment with Xtreme Lashes technician Natalia Chetty. The procedure was comfortable and my eyes did not burn at all afterwards. The lashes look beautiful and natural and I cannot even feel them. They are soft to the touch and are all glued on individually. I wish I had gone to Xtreme lashes from the very beginning! I am so happy with the results and now I cannot imagine life without them. If you are interested in getting this procedure done I cannot emphasise enough that you chose an Xtreme lashes technician. It is not worth the frustration and disappointment of going elsewhere.
